The heat of the summer may seem a distant memory now but in the private client arena there are quite a few hot topics which are keeping us all busy. Our Autumn seminar is going to consider these topics in our usual format of looking at a number of case studies.

The topics to be covered include:

  • GDPR and how this impacts on executors and trustees
  • Inadvertent revocation of Wills – traps to avoid
  • Transgender beneficiaries
  • OTS review on Inheritance Tax simplification
  • Wills signed in different jurisdictions
  • BPR on holiday lets – a win for the tax payer (so far)
  • Structuring gifts from parents to children to help get on the property ladder
