Sophie Moss

Sophie is an Associate Solicitor in the firm having joined the team at Hay & Kilner upon qualification in 2016. She has a varied caseload with experience dealing with all types of cases including orthopaedic, eye related issues, nursing care, gynaecological/obstetric, substandard surgery, misdiagnosis, DVT/PE claims, brain injury claims, GP negligence, cancer, anaesthetic problems, A&E claims and fatal claims. Sophie also assists other members of the team with all aspects of a claim from the taking of initial instructions and assessment of merits, to preparation of trial bundles and attendances at settlement meetings.

• Advising clients on merits of potential claims and appropriate next steps at the outset of investigations
• Representing and advising clients at all stages of clinical, dental and medical negligence claims
• Advising and representing clients at Inquests
• Advising and representing clients at settlement meetings
• Negotiating settlement agreements for compensation and legal costs

Outside of the office
Sophie studied Zoology at University before converting to law and specialising in clinical, dental and medical negligence upon qualification in 2016. Outside of the office, Sophie enjoys spending time with her young family, her dog Millie, and helping out on the family sheep and dairy farm.
