Furlough Scheme extended, Job Retention Bonus removed and advice issued for employees who are Clinically Extremely Vulnerable

05 Nov 2020

Chancellor Rishi Sunak has confirmed the Furlough Scheme will be extended until the end of March. It will be reviewed in January, when employers may be asked to contribute more. Further guidance on the scheme is still awaited but in the meantime please contact the employment team for further advice.

The incentive of the Job Retention bonus has been removed and will not be paid in February. It has been stated that the government will redeploy a retention incentive at the appropriate time.

Letters are also now being issued to those employees who are Clinically Extremely Vulnerable to coronavirus advising them to work from home if possible and stating that, if they cannot work from home, they should not attend work. Please do not hesitate to contact us if advice is needed in relation to the new guidance.

We are also very busy advising in respect of  our fixed fee Covid-19 policy and redundancies and changing terms and conditions of employment. Please give us a call if we can help your business.
