03 May 2016

Newcastle based law firm Hay & Kilner has appointed two lawyers as the firm continues to grow.

The leading full service law firm has appointed Elizabeth Gibbison and Stephanie Layton to their private capital and family law teams respectively.

Private capital and family law are significant practice areas at Hay & Kilner and the teams have an impressive range of clients locally and nationally.

Elizabeth advises clients on a wide range of legal matters including Wills, trusts, probate, powers of attorney, inheritance tax and estate planning. Hay & Kilner has one of the leading and largest private capital teams in the North East and provides advice to an extensive private client base, including entrepreneurs and owner managers. Independently researched legal guide, The Legal 500 praises the team for being ‘prompt, knowledgeable and approachable’.

Stephanie works alongside highly regarded family law specialist Nicola Matthews and assists clients with divorce, non-married partners separating, financial and children issues and cases involving the Court of Protection. Stephanie is also a member of ‘Resolution’, an association of specialist family lawyers who adopt a firm yet conciliatory approach to family cases. Independently researched legal guide, The Legal 500 praises the family law team at Hay & Kilner for its ‘holistic and well-organised approach.’

Kirstin Cook, partner and head of private capital at Hay & Kilner commented:
