Sarah has been advising clients on all aspects of employment law for over 20 years and is well known for her pragmatic approach, ensuring that her advice and support meets her clients’ values and objectives.

Sarah acts almost exclusively for employers across a variety of sectors. She works closely with directors and HR managers providing strategic support and practical advice on all HR matters. She acts as a trusted adviser for many clients who contact her on a weekly basis for proactive advice.

Sarah provides tailored in-house training for clients to support managers and to minimise the risk of Tribunal claims.

She also leads the team’s HR corporate support work in relation to commercial projects and transactions.

Experience

  • Extensive experience of advising clients on day-to-day HR matters, such as disciplinaries and grievances, and more complex employment issues, such as TUPE, whistleblowing, discrimination, employee & industrial relations, restructuring and restrictive covenants.
  • Significant experience of senior executive disputes and successfully negotiating high-value settlements.
  • Regularly providing tailored in-house training sessions and workshops to managers and presenting seminars and webinars to clients on a variety of employment topics.
  • Representing clients in Employment Tribunals and, where appropriate, resolving disputes pragmatically at an early stage.
  • Preparing employment contracts, policies & procedures, bonus and commission schemes.

Sarah qualified as a solicitor in 1999.
