Lasting Powers of Attorney

In this day and age people are living longer due to medical advances but an increasing number of people sadly lose the ability to make important decisions about their money and personal welfare. It is advisable to choose a close relative or trustworthy friend to be able to make these decisions for you, if the worst should happen.
At Hay & Kilner we can help you appoint such a person (an “Attorney”) in a legally binding manner by preparing a “Lasting Power of Attorney”, and dealing with registration at the Office of the Public Guardian, so that your Attorney will be recognised as someone who is legally authorised to help you make decisions, or make them for you, if you are completely unable to do so yourself.
