We are immensely proud of our North East roots and we are committed to giving back to our local community.
Our commitment takes many forms including charitable support, mentoring schemes, sponsorships and volunteering.
This year, we are pleased to announce Newcastle West End Foodbank has been chosen by employees to be our Charity of the Year!
The charity provides food for people who are struggling to make ends meet and are unable to afford food for themselves or their families. Nearly half of the people to benefit from their food parcels are children living in low-income households who would otherwise go hungry.
In the past year, they issued a total of 19,137 food parcels, which is double the amount distributed during 2019/2020. The charity has seen an increased demand due to the ongoing pandemic and we hope to be able to assist at this difficult time.
If you would like to make a donation, head to our Enthuse fundraising page.
Our dedicated Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee and the firm as a whole are looking forward to working with the West End Foodbank throughout the year, and to assist in whatever way we can with various fundraising events and hands on volunteering already in the calendar.
"From volunteering for our bucket collections to bake sales and running the Sunshine Run, Hay & Kilner has raised thousands, which has supported disabled children in the North East with trikes, iPads and sensory equipment. Many thanks to all of the staff at Hay & Kilner for supporting us."
- Caroll Pattison, Director at the Sunshine Fund
