Navigating the new era

Understanding the new sexual harassment law & employment reforms under the new Labour government

From October, there will be a duty on employers to proactively prevent sexual harassment in the workplace and employers that fail to comply with this duty could be subject to a very significant uplift in compensation.

But what does this mean in practice for employers?

Join the Employment Team at The Lumen on Thursday 26th September, when they will be demonstrating, by way of role-play:

  • the steps which organisations should be taking now to protect themselves against sexual harassment claims; and
  • how to investigate and manage complaints of sexual harassment in the workplace.

The Team will also provide an overview of other recent important changes in employment law and a look ahead to changes under the new Labour government.

Date: Thursday 26th September 2024
Time: 8.15am - 10.00am
Location: The Lumen, St James' Blvd, Newcastle Helix, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE4 5BZ
