Taking away the costs of tribunals
We can offer stand-alone insurance protection for Employment Tribunal claims without clients having to sign up to our full retainer services HR Key or HR Key Plus. This product is aimed at those businesses who have experienced HR teams and therefore don’t require a retainer service but who want the comfort of litigation support from a pre-agreed solicitor and effective insurance against tribunal claim costs.
The insurance cover applies provided:
(i) that you have implemented all reasonable recommendations that we have made regarding your working practices, and
(ii) you have sought and followed our advice before planning to dismiss or terminate an employee’s contract or reduce their hours or make redundancies, including redundancies that may be related to TUPE.
The way our policy operates is clear – if you take and follow our advice the insurance is designed to protect you against legal costs and compensation awards. Unlike most other policies it does not have ‘prospects of success’ requirement, a clause that often leads to claims not being paid.
If you take out the insurance, you have the comfort not only of the protection against the significant costs of tribunal claims but also of having a named adviser who can meet with you and provide one to one guidance throughout the process at all times.
